Asking someone how they are doing is so common today that we don’t take the question, or the answer, seriously. The problem with that is that we rarely get an honest answer. If someone is truly struggling, they can easily hide it. They say, “I’m fine, thank you.” But in reality, their marriage may be on the rocks. Their family may be falling apart. And you would never know it!

But the wonderful thing about knowing God, the Father, is that He already knows our heart. He not only knows our troubles, He cares! Perhaps you are struggling today. Maybe your situation seems so bad that you feel you are beyond God’s comfort. To that I declare the truth: Nothing is too difficult for God.

In the Bible, He says, “I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?” Wouldn’t you like to give your problems to someone who can actually handle them? That’s God - the God of all comfort! God the Father is your ultimate source of encouragement and consolation and counsel in every life circumstance.

2 Corinthians 1:3-7

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.
